I have been teaching at Iola High School since August 2008. I am currently teaching Geometry and Algebra 1, but taught everything from Foundations of Math up to College Algebra. I am also the National Honor Society Adviser.
I am married, have 3 children, and live in Iola. My husband, Chris, teaches at IMS in the computer lab. We have 3 children named Molly Jo, Ethan, and Logan. Molly Jo is 14, Ethan is 13, and Logan is 9 years old. Chris and I grew up in Iola and met at Iola High School as students back in 1999. We both love this town and wanted to raise our family here. Included in our family are 2 pets: Our cat, Dexter, and our dog, Dobby.
My hobbies include writing short stories and poems, reading historical nonfiction and all types of fiction. My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, Educated, The Nightingale, Island of the World, and Lisey's Story. I enjoy traveling around the United States in the summers. My family and I really enjoy the Florida beaches.
