Current Position:

I have been teaching at Iola High School since August 2008.  I am currently teaching Geometry, Algebra 1 and Consumer Math, but have taught everything from Foundations of Math up to College Algebra. I am also the National Honor Society Adviser and GSA Adviser at IHS.

  • Taught at Marmaton Valley Elementary School 2006-2007

Family Information:

I am married, have 3 children, and live in Iola.  My husband, Chris, teaches at IMS in the computer lab. We have 3 children named Molly Jo, Ethan, and Logan.  Molly Jo is 18, Ethan is 17, and Logan is 13 years old.  Chris and I grew up in Iola and met at Iola High School as students back in 1999. We both love this town and wanted to raise our family here. Included in our family are 2 pets:  Our cat, Dexter, and our dog, Dobby.

Personal Information:

My hobbies include writing short stories and poems and reading just about any fiction.  My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, Educated, The Nightingale, Island of the World, and Lisey's Story.  I enjoy traveling in the summers.  My family and I really enjoy going to the ocean.
