Science Teacher
I graduated from Iola High School in 2006. While in high school, I participated in football, track & field, baseball, forensics, and school plays. After high school, I attended Bethel College and was blessed with the ability to play football and participate in forensics. I graduted summa cum laude from Bethel in 2010 with a B.S. in chemistry. I then attended the University of Kansas and obtained my master’s degree in curriculum & instruction in 2012.
This is my 11th year of teaching at Iola High School. Since the beginning of my career, I have been teaching a variety of science and engineering courses. The courses that I have taught include Chemistry I, Chemistry II, Chemistry III, Physics, Physical Science, Advanced Physical Science, Principles of Engineering, Robotics, and Engineering Development & Design. During the 2019-2020 school year, I will be teaching Chemistry II, Chemistry III, and Physics.
In addition to teaching, I also am a coach. I am the head track coach and an assistant football coach. I also help out with our robotics club.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Rebekah. We have been married since November 19, 2016. We adopted our daughter during the spring of 2022. We also are liscenced foster parents.
